Get all of the event updates by joining the event on Facebook! Find out all of the flappers and fellas who will be attending. 

How should I get there?

Leave your jalopies at home and hop in an Uber/Lyft to make it to the gin joint on time.

If you are trying to show off your glitzy ride, pull up and hand over your $10 to the valet or park in one of the surface lots surrounding the Hotel Lafayette.

What hotels are close by?

Spend your night getting glammed up in style and stay at the Hotel Lafayette! You will be able to dance right down to the gin joint and enjoy your night to the fullest! Check here for special discounts from Hotel at the Lafayette!

Just a quick jaunt down the street will get you to the historic Curtis Hotel. Get gussied up and don your pearls before hiring a swell car to drive you to the top speakeasy of the year.

Will there be food?

There will be light hors d'oeuvres passed throughout the event. There will not be a sit down meal.

VIP guests can expect snazzier food options.

What is included with my ticket?

General Admission includes four hours of open bar, hors d'oeuvres, live music, dancing, and multiple photo booth stations.

VIP includes premium open bar, hors d'oeuvres, live music (your own special performer in addition to general admission), and an intimate space to kick up your heels and watch 20's era movies. You will also be able to have exclusive hooch samples from Buffalo Distilling Company and Tommyrotter Distillery.

What time should I arrive?

General admission is from 8pm-midnight

VIP guests get to enter the gin joint an hour early to start the party! 7pm-midnight.

What should I wear?

All of the guys and dolls will be fully glitzed up in their finest 1920's garb. Grab your pearls, feathers, top hats, and mustache combs!

If you wear a fancy overcoat, you can leave it at our coat check station for free (no purses or bags can be left in the coat check area). Any tips will be donated back to the cause!

Who do the proceeds benefit?

The proceeds from Buffalo Goes Gatsby benefit the Independent Health Foundation's Fitness for Kids Challenge. The Fitness for Kids Challenge is a community-wide initiative in Western New York to combat the rising rates of obesity in our children. This program challenges every elementary school child to increase their physical activity and make good nutrition choices.

How old do I have to be to attend?

All "fellas and flappers" must be 21+ to enter this gin joint! Security will check all ID's at the door, don't forget to bring yours with you!

Security reserves the right to prohibit admission and/or stop serving any patrons as they deem necessary. Any belligerent or overly zozzled (drunk) attendees will be escorted off of the premises, at the discretion of security.

Do I need my tickets?

Yes, you need your ticket either on your mobile device or in paper form when you arrive at the event!

What should I bring?

Your most fabulous flapper or gangster outfit, photo ID, ticket for the event, your dancing shoes!
